The NFF is considering having the matches played in London and Belgium against Cameroon, Ghana and Congo, africanfootball.com can reveal.
The NFF hopes the matches will be played between October 5 and 13.
According to africanfootball.com, negotiations to play Cameroon next month have reached an advanced stage while negotiations with Ghana and Congo with London and Belgium as match venues still as teething stages.
The NFF is hoping to use the next two windows left for this year; 5-13 October and 9-17 November to play more competitive matches for the new coach, Sunday Oliseh, ahead of next year’s two AFCON 2017 games against Egypt.
“We are still working on this plan, but we will give it our best shot because we need to get the new team ready for the decisive AFCON qualifiers against Egypt next year,”a top official told africanFootball.com
Nigeria have four points while Egypt have six points ahead of Gabon 2017 in the competition’s Group I qualifiers.
In a related development, Niger Republic’s national football team coach, Francois Zahoui, has hailed the Super Eagles’ win over his team while expressing his appreciation with the manner in which Sunday Oliseh has handled the Nigerian team.
