The acting director of army public relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, has said the Nigerian army is making steady progress in the fight against the notorious Boko Haram sect.
In a Facebook statement posted this morning, Wednesday, September 9, the top army official said military troops were clearing “Boko Haram enclaves along the axis of Bitta to Tokumbere”.
In a related development, the Nigerian army have intercepted and confiscated drugs and other supplies meant for Boko Haram members. Suspected members of the Islamist group were also arrested, according to military sources.
