Motorcycles, fondly called Okada in Lagos are back and in full force. The administration of the former governor, Babatunde Fashola saw a crackdown on the operation of Okada in the city.
First, they were compelled to use crash helmets, followed by restriction on the highways and some parts of Lagos Island. Ultimately, Okadas were arrested and confiscated on sight by policemen.
The new administration has perhaps relaxed its severe treatment as the city has seen okadas back in full force.
