Victorious Golden Eaglets squad member, Kelechi Nwakali has been linked with a move to Arsenal FC. A report making the rounds stated that the Premiership giant are interested in signing the 17 year old youngster from Diamond Academy.
Vanguard reports that the Jonathan Barnet’s Stellar Group has informed Diamond Academy Umuahia that the Gunners are ready to meet the central midfielder’s 3.5 million euros (N752.5m) asking price.
The source further explained that Arsenal are asking for trials from the player before they could sign him for the club. Meanwhile, Nwakali’s bonafide intermediary, Klay Ekeocha, said that he had contacted the London club but they are yet to get back to him as at the end of November.
However, the players has been reportedly linked to Chelsea, Olympiakos and Sporting Lisbon after emerging the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2015 Fifa Under 17 World Cup.
It was also reported that Udinese is firm on signing the player, the Italian Serie A club had earlier on made an offer of 800, 000 euros which was rejected.
Meanwhile, Nwakali has been linked to Chelsea. After being crowned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the recently concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, it seems Kelechi Nwakali is proving his worth. The player’s agent, Klay Ekeocha, has confirmed recently that there have been talks with the English Premier League giants Chelsea to sign the young player.
