Hardships Will Soon Be Over - Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed Assures Nigerians

Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed
Speaking at a town-hall meeting in Enugu on Thursday, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has assured Nigerians that the difficulties that they are experiencing at the moment will soon be a thing of the past, adding that President Muhammadu Buhari was committed to fulfilling his campaign promises to the people.
He also said the delay being experienced was due to some issues in the passage and assent of the 2016 budget.
He said, "Our message is that the hardship will soon be a thing of the past. The president is committed to strengthening the electoral process and the Nigerian economy. No government can achieve its aim or implement its promises without the budget."
The minister said the present government would accommodate all citizens, and diversify the economy through agriculture, mining of the nation’s natural resources and others.
"The present administration has incorporated women and would continue to accommodate capable and competent women in its strategic positions," he said.
Mohammed said that the federal government would address the problems of the country through the diversification of its economy, quality education and good health system.
"This government will not neglect infrastructure development, and will ensure that there is good governance and zero tolerance for corruption.

"There will be employment, one meal-per-day programme for schools, scholarship and expansion of small-scale businesses in the country, and many more."
