Christian women Group say ‘Chibok girls’ is a scam

Christian women says 'Chibok girls' is a scam

The Women’s Wing of the Christian Council of Nigeria (WOWICCN), has said that the Chibok girls issue is a scam, and that no such students were ever kidnapped from that school in Borno state.

This was the position of the National President of the group, Rev. Mrs Omatsola Williams on Friday in Abuja, during an interview with newsmen at the 2nd Bi-Ennial National Convention of the WOWICCN tagged, “Women; Goodly Heritage.”
While she described the story of the Chibok girls as a big scam, she added that people are now using it to promote themselves and their pockets.
“For me o’, I don’t believe that there is Chibok girls. We should not use the life of people to play ‘Jambo’ (game) at all. Some people are using this to make money. Ah ha! How tick is the Sambisa forest? Is it that people cannot penetrate?
“Food for thought; when you come to Niger Delta Area, there is no secret. Let Nigerians do not toil with Nigerians, because before they know it, women will arise and they will see the other side of women,” she said.
Rev. Mrs Williams also called on Nigerians to begin to make use of their God given talent to push through the present economic crises Nigeria has found itself.
She said that the country had a lot of opportunities which if well utilised, will improve the life of the people.
She said, “Let all of us go back to the drawing board, and forget about oil. Nigeria is a blessed country, a fertile land that has a lot of opportunities to tap. We have forgotten, even the talents giving to us, we don’t want to use it.
About 276 girls of Government Secondary School Chibok in Borno State were reportedly abducted by terrorist group, Boko Haram, between the night of April 14 and 15, 2014.
While only few of those girls had escaped over 200 are still in the captivity of the insurgent group.
A group, Bring Back Our Girls (#BBOG) has been championing calls and pressurising the Federal Government for their safe release. But WOWICCN, said it was all a scam.
