Borno Pastor Has A Message For Buhari

A Borno state-born pastor, Kallamu Musa-Dikwa, has called on the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, to try and compensate northern Christians with the position of speaker of the House of Representatives in the 8th National Assembly.

The pastor wrote a three-page letter dated May 27, Friday, to Buhari telling him of the need to have somebody from the north-east to head the House of Representatives, The Punch reports.
According to Dikwa, some unnamed stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress were plotting to consciously scheme out Christian representatives in the sharing of positions in the National Assembly.
He noted that the Christian community in the north-east were watching the plots of the APC leadership with keen interest.

We have trust and confidence that with you as the President, Northern Christians will be adequately compensated with at least the position of the Speaker.
“We know you to be honest and a just leader and we all look up to you to intervene and save Nigeria from the imminent danger that lies ahead if the APC leaders continue on this path of perdition by ensuring that the South-West does not snatch the speakership from us,” the letter read.
Recall that Dikwa had, during the electioneering campaign, accused President Goodluck Jonathan of bribing top officials of the Christian Association of Nigeria with the sum of N7bn to support his re-election bid. According to him, CAN got the said N7bn on January 26, 2015, and disbursed N3m to each state chairmen of CAN across the country.
Meanwhile, another cleric, Most Reverend Nicholas Okoh, the Archbishop and Primate of All Nigeria, the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion)‎, has said it would be difficult for Buhari to fix the country within four years.
