Residents have continued to express disgust and surprise over what could have led a yet-to-be-identified father of three, who took his own life at Americana Street, off Ije Ododo Road, Kudeyibu Estate, Ijegun-Lagos.
It was learnt that the deceased concluded an evangelism outreach session with some members of his church when he locked-up and hung himself in his room.
At the end of the programme, church members and his family members returned to find his dangling body hung in the ceiling fan inside his room.
A neighbor who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent that he suspected the deceased had an issue with Omo Onile (land grabbers) in the area over the burial of a corpse in his premises and he was summoned to come and pay an unspecified mount of money for the burial.
He expressed fear that the man might have taken his life because he was poor and could not afford the money demanded by the touts.
