The Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh has praised the recent performance of his team after a victorious outing against an academy team in Abuja on Thursday.
The home based Eagles won 1-0 in the test game.
The players displayed the skills learnt under the new coach who has clearly been drilling them hard.
“This training is really tough. I am too tired. It is too physical. I hope the coach can take it easy on us,” a seemingly tired player told OMGDAILYUPDATE.BLOGSPOT.COM‘s sports reporter on Wednesday after training in Abuja.
The Warri Wolves striker Gbolahan Salami scored the only goal of the friendly match with a penalty kick which was awarded after an academy player wrongfully pulled down an Eagles striker inside the box.

“I am pleased with the players because they tried to bring to play some of the things we tried to teach them on Tuesday and Wednesday, like how to possess the ball.”
“As of now, only Rangers FC’s defender, Orji Kalu is yet to report to camp after Enyimba released their players who were engaged in a decisive game against champions Kano Pillars,” an elated Oliseh added.
The home-based Super Eagles players are in camp to prepare for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifying match against Tanzania which will take place in Dar-es-Salaam on September 6.
The foreign-based players will join the team this weekend.
