A woman has become pregnant 14 times in the course of a decade trying to avoid life sentence in Urumqi, northwest China.
The woman, who is only known as Zeng, was arrested and sentenced to life in prison for corruption in 2005.
But the court allowed her to go on probation as she was pregnant at the time of the trial. Once free she immediately had an abortion.
Next time when Zeng was going to be sent to prison, she became pregnant again and went for an abortion.
She did that over and over again for 10 years until the order was resubmitted by the Municipal Bureau of Justice.
The woman has claimed to be pregnant 14 times, one of which was proved to be fictitious.
She has now been finally put in jail at the age of 39 and has only just started serving her life term.
It’s still uknown whether she gave birth to any child.
