Nigeria still suffers from violence, as hundreds killed by Boko Haram in the first 100 days of Muhammadu Buhari’s presidency.
In the first 100 days of Muhammadu Buhari’s presidency more than 800 Nigerians have been killed by Boko Haram militants.
It means that not less than 8 Nigerians were killed daily during Buhari’s reign as president. In Buhari’s first 100 days there have been over 30 successful bombings and attacks against civilians which claimed the lives of over 800 Nigerian citizens, with at least 400 killed in the first 36 days Buhari’s presidency.
Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed by the terrorists.
To ensure success in the operations against Boko Haram militants more than 3,000 troops convicted by a General Court Martial under Goodluck Jonathan, have been reinstated in the ranks of the Nigerian army.
Besides that, Buhari’s government also offered monetary compensation to the families of officers killed in fights with Boko Haram insurgents in the north-eastern Nigeria, and their children provided with scholarships.
The towns of Dikwa and Gamboru Ngala have been recaptured from the Boko Haram militants.
Buharimeter, the initiative that monitoring and holding how Muhammadu Buhari is implementing his promises, has unveiled a second of many report cards on the performance of the Nigerian leader.
It should be noted that according to the first report Buhari in his 30 days in officehas showed some level of commitment in dealing with issues of security and corruption.
In his first month the president only worked towards the achievement of 6.8% of programmes he vowed to implement within his first 100 days in office.
Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), Abuja, in it report made available to Omgdailyupdate.blogspot.com has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari in his first 100 days has only achieved 1 out of tracked 222 promises, which constitutes 0.5%.
It also said the president has made” which constitute 10.8% and 88.7% respectively.
