Solomon Dalung Blasts Pinnick - You Talk Too Much

Sports minister Solomon Dalung has hit out at the president of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, for his careless public utterances.

Dalung was out with Pinnick during Tuesday’s consultative meeting in Abuja in the wake of Nigeria’s successive failure to qualify for the AFCON.

“The minister is no-nonsense, he simply told Pinnick to watch his public utterances, saying he appears to react to everything and everybody and it appears he does not have a spokesperson, who ought to be doing the talking on his behalf,” an official said.

“The minister says the frequent utterances by the NFF president have worked against his image and the way he is perceived by the public.”

It would also be recalled Pinnick lost his cool and called Chris Giwa unprintable names when the minister attempted to reconcile the two personalities and their group of loyalists.

On Tuesday, a group of protesters gathered around the venue of the consultative meeting armed with placards demanding Pinnick to step down as the country’s football boss after the Eagles latest failure under his leadership. The former Delta FA chairman, however, has insisted he will not quit.
