About 200 ex militants have taken to the streets in Port Harcourt in protest over alleged deductions from their monthly allowance by their leaders, Vanguard reports.
The ex-militants reportedly blocked Olu Obasanjo road with the claim that there was a deduction in their N65,000 monthly allowance
The ex-militants alleged that a new generation bank colluded with their leaders to illegally deduct from their allowance.
The protest which is still on-going is said to have caused major traffic on the road.
Meanwhile, a sociopolitical group in the South-South, Ekpeye Youth Congress has dismissed claims in some quarters that the immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan empowered the people of the region.
