The first 2015 annual Hajj operations flight took off from the Malam Aminu Kano international airport yesterday, September 5, carrying 400 intending pilgrims.

Speaking to this year’s pilgrims on their religious journey, the leader of the federal government’s delegation who is also the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, charged them to be good ambassadors for the country and respect the laws of the Saudi authorities.
Sanusi revealed that the number of this year’s intending pilgrims from Kano state alone is about 5,602 people assured those intending to travel that so far, the Saudi embassy has processed visa applications for more than 4,800 pilgrims, stressing that the remainder will also be ready before the closure of King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, on September 17.
The Amirul Hajj informed the intending pilgrims that the country was passing through some trying times and therefore urged them to put the country first and pray for the sustenance of peace and the quick economic well being of the nation.
